Dear Jo

My owner is out, so I thought I'd hop on her laptop and say thank you for all the lovely walks we've had recently. I don't mind admitting that me and my owner were a bit sad when my last dog walker moved away, but that was before you came and met us!

When I get left in the morning, I just curl up for a nap knowing that you'll be there soon to take me out for a lovely walk, and if I'm lucky a ride in the van! I'm not sure which is my favourite, when we play ball, or when I get to run around with my friends in the park! It's nice you send my owner photos too, because now she doesn't worry about whether or not I'm ok while she's at work - She can tell I'm happy!

Well, now it's time for my Sunday afternoon nap, but I can't wait to see you tomorrow for more fun and games!

Jo has been an incredible addition to our family life! A new puppy is such fun and so exciting. Jo has helped us to train Martha and provided much needed support and counsel to make sure that we are doing the right thing.

Martha has developed into a loving family pet, who has adjusted to our busy lifestyle. Jo provides us with dog walking and home visits that ensure we provide Martha with all the love and attention she needs.

Jo is extremely professional. I have never had a dog walker before and was extremely worried about trusting my dog to another person. Jo came highly recommended to me by a friend (Harry the Lurcher). Jo is always on time, her van and cages are well kept, and she always provides variety in her walks. The photo’s are great too!

She was flexible when I moved house. Scooby gets to meet up with Harry the Lurcher on his walks. Harry is his best friend, so I’m so glad they are together. Scooby can be shy with people, but now tries to get passed her to run to her van, ready for his walk! The last bit says it all really! If Scooby is happy, then so am I.

I cannot say thank you enough to Jo for her exceptional service. Our two Springer Spaniels adore her! When we arrive home from work our dogs are sleepy and happy – we always find a note from Jo to tell us how they were during her visit and where they went to play for their hour walk that day, which is really reassuring. Jo was professional from the start and came to meet us and our dogs, showing us that all insurance documents were in place and getting to know our babies and our requirements, and explaining her own role, before the first walk!

She has a genuine love of dogs and I trust her completely with both of ours. Jo has been a blessing when dealing with our changeable shift patterns at work and our last minute requests by text or email for her to fit a walk in for us if we’re called-in at short notice. Jo has helped introduce us to local trainers and other exciting doggie events like Sheepballs. We really couldn’t be without her help and recommend her highly for dog-walking and late night dog sitting. Thank you!

We welcomed Jess, our rescue collie, into our family nearly a year ago and Jo has been there supporting us since day one. Jess was shy with us at first and very aggressive with strangers but she took to Jo very quickly and was out walking with her in the first week. The regular walking with Jo and the other dogs has really helped Jess relax and enjoy her new home.

We have variable schedules with work and Jo is always happy to be as flexible as possible. Jess enjoys her walks and we are happy knowing that Jo has a wealth of experience that she applies when looking after her.

Jo has been walking my dog Darcy for around six months now. From the first meeting until now the whole experience has been great. I work shifts and sometimes have to arrange walks at short notice and Jo has been very flexible around this. Darcy always comes back having enjoyed her walks and when we are at work for the day I can have peace of mind that Jo will come in, take Darcy out and she will be exercised for the day. Woody absolutely loves his walks with Jo. He is a big, strong and dominant lad but Jo is so experienced and has such a natural way with dogs that she is not phased! She ensures that he has lots of different experiences and lots of fun and exercise. It's great to receive the photographs of him on his walks and we really appreciate the notes left with details of what he gets up to and useful information such as behaviour. It's such a relief to know that Woody is in great hands while we're away and Jo has been brilliant regarding last minute walks due to our shift changes. To say Jo walks my 7 month old lab Simba is not a clear reflection of the job she does for us. I am a first time owner and needed Simba to have regular care and stimulation when I was not available to provide it, Jo has helped me with dog care guidance, recommended real quality dog training, and won over the love of our lovely Simba.

He not only goes mad when he sees her at home but when he notices her van drive passed he tries to run after it!!

I am always kept informed of the activities Jo does with Simba and she works hard to tailor her visits to fit in with his routine and current health.

When I return home from work Simba is always settled and relaxed which is, to me a great indication he is well cared for and happy and that for me means everything.

I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Jo to friends, her knowledge and clear love of her job is invaluable.

We have used SolentK9 for the last 4 months and have been nothing short of amazed with the service they provide.

Me and my partner both work a 9 hour day, so we decided to get a dog walker. Jo came and met us the same evening I initially phoned, coming round at 8pm considering I called at 6pm.

Tilly is our first dog and due to a change of work circumstances I needed to find someone who could walk her 2 - 3 days a week whilst we were at work. I found Jo's details and contacted her. Jo and Sarah came to meet Tilly and myself and straight away I felt that I would be happy leaving Tilly in their care. Tilly is cared for 2-3 days a week by Jo and Sarah and I enjoy coming home and reading the report that they leave letting me know what Tilly has been up to! She is mixing well with the other dogs and I feel a lot happier leaving her knowing she is in good hands whilst we're at work.

Jo has been a fantastic help to us this past year with walking our dog Roxy. Any last minute changes to schedule or adding in evening walks Jo has been able to accommodate our very busy schedule. Hi We are Benson a 6 year old Black Lab and Marley a 4 year old Yellow Lab. Both our mum and dad have to work so we go to Nanny and Grand-dad's two or three times a week. When we are there Jo or Sarah have come to take us out for the last couple of months, we have gone to some new places where we have had either a long walk or run which we love doing. We wait by the front door for the bell to ring and then it's of to the van for a short trip to where ever we are going that day. We have enjoyed our time with Jo and Sarah and look forward to going again.

Since moving to Emsworth we have been using Solentk9 for our little Yorkshire Terrier called Kiko. Jo and Laura have been great and very helpful from the start, Kiko loves going on walks with his friends and loves the variation of walks from the parks to the beach as well. We find Jo to be very flexible as our plans frequently change and they are able to accommodate last minute changes which is most helpful. Kiko also especially likes the “Doggy Days Out” he has been on which is a special treat for him. There are always plenty of photo’s and videos to see what the dogs are getting up to which is great to see the fun they are having. We would highly recommend Jo and Solentk9 to anyone needing the service as she was by far the most professional operation we have seen.

Where shall I start Jo?! I could write an essay for you! Feel free to make it shorter/add a photo of Bonnie running on her first doggy day out (still my favourite), change names to protect identities/add Laura's name :)

"Before Bonnie even joined our family as an 8-week old puppy, we contacted Jo to find out about SolentK9. The advice and puppy plan that Jo gave us was amazing. She came to meet Bonnie, armed with a home-made, super strong tuggy toy (which is still going 18 months later). And despite Bonnie stealing from her bag that night, Jo has come to pick up Bonnie for an adventure every single week day, plus home visits for pee and play! And every day, Jo leaves a note to say where she went and what she got up to.

As first-time dog parents, Bonnie (and us) have benefitted from Jo's amazing expertise, from puppy clicker training tricks before she was fully vaccinated, to recall practice (with hand signals!) and ensuring all dogs go out in groups where they are all happy with each other. Bonnie doesn't even look back to say good bye when Jo or Laura come to pick her up!

And then the 'Doggy Days Out'! Very tired, happy dogs at the end of the day, with LOTS of goodies, photos and waggy tails."

Roxy has been going for walks with Jo every week for over 2 years now. She gets very excited when I tell her that Auntie Jo is coming! She gets good long walks in various locations and she gets to meet up with her friends including other black labs she can play with. I feel she’s very safe with Jo and transport is in individual cages in her air-conditioned van.
